Senior care group is seeking a BC/BE Internist/Geriatrician to join the medical staff of this un! ique health management program. The Model is designed to help frail elderly live independently in their community, manage their medical conditions and avoid unnecessary nursing home placement. This is a position that works closely with an interdisciplinary team. Your day is structured to enable you to create a relationship/rapport with your participant and his/her family. Duties include comprehensive medical services including evaluation, diagnosis and direct treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.
Qualified candidates must be Board Eligible or Board Certified. Geriatric experience a plus
- Call/Rounding
- One night (Monday - Thursday) per week 4:30 pm - 8:00 am. Majority is telephone orders/triage - Need to go to hospital middle of the night - perhaps 2 per year - MAX!
- One weekend per month Friday 4:30 - Monday 8:00 am. Round on Sat and Sun - average number of inpatients is 2. Range 0 - 6. Average number of rounding hours on weeke! nd 5 - total weekend.
