Internist - Physician - (Internal Medicine) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 05/06/2013! Available Shifts: Part Time
Board Eligible / Board Certified - Internal Medicine or Family Practice physician needed in a New York Correctional Facility for an opportunity starting in March. This opportunity offers Mon, Tues,Wed, Thurs: 20 hour work week. - No call. The provider must be well-versed in a Primary Care Outpatient setting.
Internal medicine (locum tenens) is a branch of medicine characterized by an emphasis on treating the whole body, rather than specialized focus on one body part of system. Many people use internists as their first point of medical contact, and in this way these physicians function similarly to primary care doctors. Internists are trained to treat and diagnose a wide range of illnesses that affect the entirety of the biological system. When an illness proves to be advancing, exotic or complex, internists will usually refer their patients to specialists.
Required Qualifications
Internal Medicine or Family Practice! (OUTPATIENT) needed - May 01 - Ongoing - Schedule: 8a-12p (Cl! ient Flexible) - No call. BE/BC, 20-25ppd, 100% adult patients (Men & Women), 100% Scheduled patients seen. Typical Cases Seen: Sick visits, female exams, Hypertension, Diabetics, physicals, and chronic illnesses..
