Description: Highland Hospital is currently seeking to employ Physician Asst. right now, this position will be ordered in New York. Further informations about this position opportunity kindly read the description below. Experience:
Qualifications:
1. Education: Graduate of an approved PA program and nationally certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners.

2. Experi! ence: Medical management of house-covered patients or Emergency Room/ICU training; >3 years of inpatient medical experience; Home care, hospice/palliative care also helpful.

3. License/Certification Required: Valid NYS license as a Physician Assistant. ACLS certified within 6 months of hire date.. Maintains adequate CME credits to ensure ongoing competency for performing job duties. Maintains current NYS License and NCCP A Certification.

4. Skills: Proficiency in central venous and arterial access. Management and resuscitation of unstable patients. Management of respiratory failure including proficiency with standard modes of mechanical ventilation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, professional behavior and commitment to quality care; ability to work autonomously; excellent interpersonal skills.

Description:

• This is a full time, Night PA position working in Highland Hospitals Department of! Medicine.
• We will be accepting applications until Ap! ril 14, 2013

Admit and execute orders on adult patients requiring in-house medical coverage, after Resident teams have filled, from the services of Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, sub specialties, Hospitalists and geriatricians. Obtains detailed sign-out from the PA teams, to assist in evening cross-coverage and any medical issues the PA teams need to follow up.
