Internist - Physician - (Internal Medicine) Locum Tenens

Board Certified of Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Practice physician needed in a New York City outpatient clinic for an job opportunity starting in June. This assignment offers a part-time schedule 1 day per week. The provider must be well-versed in a Primary Care setting working with allergy & immunology patients.
Internal medicine (locum tenens) is a branch of medicine characterized by an emphasis on treating the whole body, rather than specialized focus on one body part of system. Many people use internists as their first point of medical contact, and in this way these physicians function similarly to primary care doctors. Internists are trained to treat and diagnose a wide range of illnesses that affect the entirety of the biological system. When an illness proves to be advancing, exotic or complex, internists will usually refer their patients to specialists.
Required Qualifications
NY licensed Internal Medicine physici! an or Family Practice physician needed - June: 19th, 25th, and! 27th. July: 10th, 17th, and 24th - SCHEDULE: 11a - 6:30p - Certifications: BE/BC, ACLS, DEA. 100% adult patients seen, 100% scheduled, 0-3ppd, RN support and office staff. Typical cases seen: acute sinusitis, upper respiratory tract infections, and asthma exacerbation. The locum must be able to treat an allergic reaction. The locum will need to be in the office while the RN gives allergy shots.
