Manhattan Psychiatric Center Exciting leadership position for NYS licensed, Board certified Internist is available at Manhattan Psychiatric Center, a NY State OMH facility specializing in! the treatment of psychiatric inpatients using innovative pharmacological and cognitive behavioral interventions. MPC is a major residency training affiliate of NYU with opportunities for teaching of psychiatric residents and medical students. Responsibilities include the clinical leadership of the Department of Medicine and supervision of overall medical care of all patients, the knowledge of medical issues within the facility, the review of treatment referrals to contractual external treatment centers. Supervision of 14 full-time Medical Specialists and review of complex cases on a daily basis is expected together with supervision of on site medical subspecialties, laboratory personnel and infection control.
