Internist - Physician - (Internal Medicine) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASA! P Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Board Eligible / Board Certified - Internal Medicine or Family Practice physician needed in a New York City facility for a full time assignment on going starting in April. This opportunity offers 4 eight hour days plus one Saturday during the week totaling 40 hours. The provider must be well-versed in a Primary Care setting.
Internal medicine (locum tenens) is a branch of medicine characterized by an emphasis on treating the whole body, rather than specialized focus on one body part of system. Many people use internists as their first point of medical contact, and in this way these physicians function similarly to primary care doctors. Internists are trained to treat and diagnose a wide range of illnesses that affect the entirety of the biological system. When an illness proves to be advancing, exotic or complex, internists will usually refer their patients to specialists.
Required Qualifications
Internal Medicin! e or Family Practice (OUTPATIENT) needed 04/01 - Ongoing - 4 d! ays during the week: 9:30a -5:30p & Sat: 9:30a -5:30p (Client Flexible). BE/BC, 30ppd, 50% Scheduled, 50% walk-ins. Typical Case Seen: Sick & Well Visits, Vaccinations (RN can do if locum is not comfortable), Physicals. Support Staff: 1 x FP, 1 x PED, RN, 1 x NP, 1 x PA, and Office Manager. EMR charting will train. (Locum must speak Chinese or Mandarin or Cantonese.)
