Internist - Physician - (Internal Medicine) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Board Eligible or Board Certified Internal Medicine or Family Practice Physician needed for a job opportunity located in a Correctional facility in Upstate New York. This opportunity offers a 34 hour work week Mon - Fri with telephonic call required. The provider must be well-versed in an outpatient setting.
Internal medicine (locum tenens) is a branch of medicine characterized by an emphasis on treating the whole body, rather than specialized focus on one body part of system. Many people use internists as their first point of medical contact, and in this way these physicians function similarly to primary care doctors. Internists are trained to treat and diagnose a wide range of illnesses that affect the entirety of the biological system. When an illness proves to be advancing, exotic or complex, internists will usually refer their patients to specialists.
Required Qualifications
Internal Medicine or Family ! Practice physician needed - 12/15 - 12/31 - 30-33 hours a week! Mon-Fri, Telephonic Call required. BE/BC, adult males. Cases seen: Chronic care, diabetics, asthma, and sick visits. May see some HIV patients (Specialist Avail). Support Staff: RN, NP, and LPN. Written Charting
