New York University School of Medicine invites applications for the Freedman Professorship of Medicine in the Division of Geriatric Medicine. The goal of this endowed Professorship is to support an innovative and dynamic Geriatrician in the Division of Geriatric Medicine who is dedicated to the clinical care of older adults with dementia, and who has substantial scholarship around translational research and/or education related to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of dementia. The Freedman Professor will join a newly established and rapidly growing Division of Geriatric Medicine at NYU Langone Medical Center and will join a leadership team charged with developing a strong clinical, research, and educational presence in the Division of Geriatric Medicine and the NYU Medical School.

This is a tremendous opportunity for an established or up-and-coming Geriatrician who wants to work within a strong multidisciplinary environment with clinicians, educators, and! basic and translational researchers in Alzheimer’s Disease,! vascular neuroscience, and vascular aging. Additional relevant resources include a newly established Neurosciences Institute and renowned neuroimaging capabilities.

Freedman Professor candidates should be at the Associate or Full Professor level, and have a strong track record of scholarship and national recognition in clinical aging research or geriatrics education.
