Board Certified Internal Medicine physician needed in a New York City outpatient facility for a job opportunity starting in December. This assignment offers a Full-Time 40 hour work week schedule. The provider must be well-versed working in an adult medicine setting. Spanish speaking providers are plus.
Internal medicine (locum tenens) is a branch of medicine characterized by an emphasis on treating the whole body, rather than specialized focus on one body part of system. Many people use internists as their first point of medical contact, and in this way these physicians function similarly to primary care doctors. Internists are trained to treat and diagnose a wide range of illnesses that affect the entirety of the biological system. When an illness proves to be advancing, exotic or complex, internists will usually refer their patients to specialists.
Required Qualifications
NY licensed Internal Medicine physician ne! eded 12/01/2013 - ongoing (Can start sooner if already credent! ialed with the clients NY payer mixes). SCHEDULE: Mon - Fri: 8a-4p or 9a-5p, No Call. Type of Patients seen: 100% Adult, seeing 20ppd. Typical Cases seen: Sick & Well Visits, physicals, diabetes, hypertension, follow up visits. Support Staff: RN, MA, and Office Manager. EMR charting: Practice Fusion (client will train)
