Internist - Physician - (Internal Medicine) Locum Tenens

Board Eligible or Board Certified Internal Medicine or Family Practice physician needed in a western New York out patient facility for a job opportunity starting mid November. This assignment offers 36 hours per week schedule no weekends, no call coverage. The provider must be well-versed in a Primary Care setting.
Internal medicine (locum tenens) is a branch of medicine characterized by an emphasis on treating the whole body, rather than specialized focus on one body part of system. Many people use internists as their first point of medical contact, and in this way these physicians function similarly to primary care doctors. Internists are trained to treat and diagnose a wide range of illnesses that affect the entirety of the biological system. When an illness proves to be advancing, exotic or complex, internists will usually refer their patients to specialists.
Required Qualifications
NY Licensed Internal! Medicine or Family Practice physician needed 11/15/2013 - 02/! 15/2014 (May extend) - SCHEDULE: Mon, Wed, Fri: 8hour days & Tues, Thurs: 4hour days (Client flexible would consider any day shift scenario as long as it equals 36hrs a week)-Type of patient seen: 100% adult, 20-25ppd, 90% Scheduled patients seen. Typical Cases Seen: Sick & Well Visits, Fractures, Physicals, Follow ups, chronic illnesses. Support Staff: 2 x Primary Care MD, RN's, LPN's, and MA's. EMR Charting
