Physician Specialist

Description: Health and Hospitals Corporation is looking of Physician Specialist right now, this vacancy will be placed in New York. Assess patients, including performing a Psychiatric Triage and completing the Comprehensive Psychiatric CPEP Assessment within established time frames and in accordance with policies & procedures releveant to CPEP operations. Sign-off on assessments performed by non-physician licensed team members.
Provide necessary intervention, including medications, as indicated by signs and symptoms, in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to arrive at an appropriate disposition within established timeframes and in! accordance with policies & procedures relevant to CPEP operat! ions.
Collaborate wtih CPEP Internist to obtain physical assessments and other examination, laboratory work up, including venipuncture as needed. Also collaborate with other physicians in the Adult and Pediatric Emergency Rooms as necessary.
Complete appropriate legal statuses as necessary and in accordance with mental hygiene law.
Cooperate with CPEP Assisstant Director, Nursing, to ensure accuracy of the CPEP Tracking Grid and in the utilization of the grid to assist in maintaining compliance with required timeframes for completion of triage notes, comprehensive assessments, and q shift notes.
Interact with other hospitals and outside agencies to fulfill the requirements for patients' evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of mental illness.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an approved medical school.
Completion of approved residency or fellowship in the specialty or sub-specialty and ! Board eligible or certified or Subboard eligible or certified.
Five years experience in field of specialty or subspecialty acceptable to the Medical Board of the Hospital.
Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New York
