In collaboration with CCSCs leadership team, staff, students and families, the Restorative Justice Coordinator will help lead CCSCs mission of being a restorative school. The Restorative Justice Coordinators responsibilities include, but are not limited to, Coordinate Restorative Justice WorkIn collaboration with the other members of the Principals Office, ensure the restorative process and practices are being implemented by faculty, staff and students.Proactively work with students and families to preempt or prevent discipline-related issues.Act as an advocate for all students. Communicate regularly with students families, as needed.Actively monitor behavioral progress of students.Lead many restorative circles and build staff skills in circle planning and keeping.Build, supervise, and advise a student-led restorative justice group.
Support with peer to peer circles and other circles relevant for student voice and help to create and implement systems for data trackingCoach StaffCoach staff on effective classroom management, relationship building, and restorative practices.Work with grade level team leaders, and grade level teams when appropriate, on issues related to specific students and broader grade-wide behavior patterns.Lead Professional DevelopmentWork to develop and implement a shared vision of restorative justice, high expectations, high support, and academic rigor.Plan and lead restorative justice-related professional development sessions.MiscellaneousRespond to behavioral concerns or issues that happen during the school day, including conducting check-ins with students in need of behavioral support.Participate on the Student Support TeamFulfill regular CCSC staff responsibilities as assigned by the Head of School and Principal.Complete other duties, as assigned.Model CCSCs Community Responsibilities and Expectations for faculty and staff members whenever interacting with students in classrooms, in shared spaces, and during transitions.Staff retention: Create an environment where staff & faculty are committed to a long tenure and would recommend working at the school.Qualifications: Bachelors degree preferred; Associates degree or equivalent requiredWork in a school setting, ideally with students in grades 6-12, is preferred CCSC will offer training for this position so candidates with no prior experience are encouraged to apply SalaryThe salary range for this position is $64,000-$85,000 depending on experience working with students.
