Description

The mission of the UCLA Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM) is to be a global leader in our specialty by providing excellent care to all patients we serve, conducting leading-edge research that advances the health of our patients and community, and training physicians to be innovative and inspiring leaders. We are searching for a motivated Project Manager to join our team of leaders. As the Project Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting DEM's research initiatives. You will be the main point of contact for research-related activities, overseeing a diverse range of tasks. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, you will provide valuable input on project development and implementation. Additionally, you will contribute to the creation of grant proposals, scientific manuscripts, Standard Operating Procedures, and other research and administrative projects. This will involve establishing and nurturing relationships with administrative, academic, government, and community-based partners to facilitate the exchange of vital information. Target hourly rate: $24.28-$48.04

Qualifications

Required: * Public health graduate degree or equivalent plus at least 5 years of experience in managing clinical research studies. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, which may include business and technical writing, editing and proofreading. * Computer skills using PC platform computers with proficiency in Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint. Demonstrated organizational skills to efficiently and effectively provide management/monitoring support for multiple studies, providing accurate information in a timely manner. * Demonstrated understanding of confidential information, how it is defined, and demonstrated skill in maintaining confidential status of such information. * Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload to meet demands of above PI’s, Sponsor and other relevant institutions involved. * Demonstrated knowledge of all components of the research process as it pertains to clinical trials and studies, i.e., IRB procedures and processes, data management, etc. * Demonstrated interpersonal skills to work with physicians, administrators, work colleagues, representatives from sponsors and other to achieve maximum efficiency in reaching and maintaining workplace goals in a professional manner Preferred: * Experience working in an academic and/or research setting Target hourly rate:
