The Account Manager is responsible for the creation and implementation of a strategic, diverse program portfolio of customized and open enrollment EE programs at UCLA Anderson's Office of Executive Education.

Leading EE's program design initiatives, the Account Manager uses their outstanding instructional design and curriculum development skills to create curriculum that is cutting-edge and that positions UCLA EE in the forefront of its field. Employing their expertise in the field of executive development, talent management and adult learning methodologies, the Account Manager conducts in-depth needs' analysis in order to assess client needs, translates these findings into effective program curricula, and develops programs that meet client objectives and business requirements.

Working directly with senior executives in Fortune 1000 corporations worldwide, the Account Manager is the customer's primary UCLA contact and is responsible for the client relationship, program development, and is accountable for managing between $1 - $3.5 million in program revenue annually.

Using knowledge of various industries and the competitive business environment, combined with excellent project management skills to create and actively manage a roster and pipeline of their own key corporate accounts, the Account Manager coordinates client relationships among EE managers and staff. They travel domestically and internationally to articulate the value and capabilities of EE, to meet with clients in order to "close" sales, and to develop new programs that maximize EE's competitive advantage. The Account Manager must articulate the capabilities of EE; solicit and respond to requests for proposals; and assist clients through the University contracting process.

The Account Manager employs their financial acumen to create program budgets that meet client's financial objectives while maximizing profitability to EE. Additionally, they uncover needs for new programs that can maximize EE's reputation and strategic positioning in the marketplace.

The Account Manager partners with faculty as a coach, guide, and to ensure that program contact and delivery meet EE's service standards and enhance UCLA's reputation as a premier provider of executive education.

Strong proficiency using various hardware and software programs: Word (creation of forms & tables, signs, labels), Excel (formulas, database function, spreadsheets, data sorts, mail merges, etc.), PowerPoint, email, electronic calendaring system, Internet (web searches), contact management software, travel and entertainment reimbursement software (Concur preferred), and database; Zoom, WebEx, and other video conferencing and online delivery platforms; Adobe Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator. Demonstrated experience with Salesforce required, preferably in an educational setting with understanding of Contacts, Accounts and Opportunities. Experience with various Learning Management Systems, preferably Canvas, with ability to set up and maintain courses and technology assets in LMS.

Demonstrated understanding of current domestic and international business topics, management development trends and topics. Comfort conducting business in international locations, and interacting with other cultures and in international settings.

Knowledge of Executive Education Programs, MBA-level management education, training, and professional development.

Ability to travel to both domestic and foreign destinations. Possession of a valid California Driver's License, insurance, and no restrictions from driving in other states within the United States. Ability to work evenings and weekends, both at the University and remote locations, and to travel overnight. Ability to work flexible schedules and holidays, as necessary.

Ability to identify confidential and sensitive information and handle with tact and discretion. All files, records, customer data, documents, blueprints, information, letters, notes, and similar items relating to the business of the UCLA, whether prepared by self or otherwise coming into their possession, shall remain the exclusive property of UCLA. They shall not retain any copies of the foregoing without UCLA's prior written permission.

Required

Bachelor's degree and five or more years' experience working in the field of executive development. Advanced degree in business administration, public administration or equivalent preferred.

Effective negotiation skills for cost and quality control, effective faculty interface, and contracting issues

Knowledge of EEP program content and Anderson faculty expertise. Knowledge of university, UCLA, Anderson School and Office of Executive Education Programs.
