Position Summary
The Dispatcher is responsible for the scheduling and dispatch of our drivers as well as factoring completed loads. This position requires a background in transportation dispatch and customer service, as well as a preferred background in fleet management.
Pay equivalent to 6% of all factored loads
Essential Duties
- Manage customer service calls from contracted entities and brokers
- Dispatch drivers based on customer demand and available routes
- Communicate with contracted entities and brokers in a timely manner to ensure effective management of fleet operations
- Communicate with owner operators regarding driver information, traffic and accident status, and other important information
- Communicate with Godspeed Logistics owner regarding customer requests and issues
- Communicate with brokers, delivery customers, and Godspeed Logistics owner regarding accident or delay information, as well as other information
- Factor all completed loads
- Other duties as assigned
