BluePearl’s Downtown NYC location is hiring an exceptional Licensed Veterinary Technician â€" Internal Medicine â€" Vet Tech â€" IM - LVT.

The right candidate possesses:
The ability to communicate with clients regarding treatment changes or the patient’s current therapies as outlined by the veterinarian.
The skills to appropriately restrain difficult or fractious feline and canine patients.
The experience to place peripheral over-the-needle catheters in all peripheral vessels.
The attention to detail when following the Internists’ orders for lab testing
Sharp critical thinking skills in order to notify the doctor appropriately when working with laboratory results.
The ability to provide patient nursing care to ICU patients according to hospital standards of care and core values.
The skills to calculate all medical math including advanced and CRI set up
The ability to set up and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
The ability to set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures.
The ability to set up and assist with endoscopic procedures
The skills to induce, monitor and recover patients under anesthesia for IM procedures
The willingness to clean and care for the equipment following our guidelines
