Your Impact & Responsibilities
- Lead R&D development of new hardware projects from initial concept/design to mass production
- Managing the definition process (Design/SRS) of new projects
- Manage prototype hardware builds (EVT, DVT, PVT) with our contract manufacturer
- Review schematics, layout at the technical level
- Write hardware test plans for the hardware contract manufacturer to follow
- Coordinate and contribute to engineering deliverables, including specifications, test plans, reliability testing, and engineering validation
- Auditing and Quality management of the production done by ODMs.
- Experience in managing projects end to end (Hardware, software, mechanical, Thermal, logistics, etc)
- Develop schedules, identify critical paths and bottlenecks and maintain execution throughout the project
- Communicate impact of scope changes to all stakeholders, including customers, with regard to cost, timing, quality of execution and overall impact
- Effectively communicate program statuses, identify potential risks and setbacks, and develop mitigation strategies
- Provide basic level debugging of Hardware issues
- Work with customers and partners on field issues and technical questions
Your Knowledge & Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
- Knowledge of hardware design techniques and hardware schematic principles
- Experience in board design
- Experience with complex hardware platforms, thermal simulation and analysis
- At least 2 years of experience of program or project management in software development
- At least 2 years of experience in managing Hardware projects
- Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills
- Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of product development processes
- Strong engineering / technical background / Hands-on approach
- Experienced in various project planning tools such as Jira and MS Project
- Self-motivated, able to accept new challenges and motivate others
- PMP Certification – Advantage
- Background in network protocols – Advantage
- Background in embedded systems - Advantage
- Knowledge of C/C++ language programming for embedded systems – Advantage
- Knowledge of cloud services, cyber security and computer networking – Advantage
- Management of overseas sub-contractors experience – Advantage
- Knowledge in production and manufacturing – Advantage
