SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday (approximately) 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Outpatient. Review patient chart/record for allergies, medical problems, medications, and immunization status. Elicit and record information about patient's medical history. NOT REQUIRED to perform labs. All required labs may be sent out. Examine patients for symptoms or physical information. Order or execute various tests, analysis, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient's condition. Analyze reports and findings of tests and examination, and diagnoses condition of patient. Administer or prescribe treatments.
Determine and prescribe medication, dosage, and schedule given the patient's condition and allergies. Discuss any possible side affects to medication or immunization with patient.
Prescribe and administer vaccinations to immunize patient ! from communicable diseases.
Promote health by advising pat! ients about diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease. NO prenatal care to pregnant women, delivers babies, and provides postnatal care to mothers and infants. NO REQUIRED surgical procedures commensurate with surgical competency. Refer patient to medical specialist for consultant services when necessary for patient's well-being. Document the patient's visit including medical history, physical exam, diagnoses, and plan of action. Follow up with patient regarding progress in high risk or emergency cases. Conduct physical examinations to provide information needed for admission to school, consideration for jobs, or eligibility for insurance coverage.
