Internist - Physician - (Internal Medicine) Locum Tenens

Board Certified Internal Medicine physician needed for a job opportunity in a New York City outpatient practice starting in September. This job offers a Part-Time work schedule with no call. The provider must be well versed in a Primary Care setting.
Internal medicine (locum tenens) is a branch of medicine charact! erized by an emphasis on treating the whole body, rather than ! specialized focus on one body part of system. Many people use internists as their first point of medical contact, and in this way these physicians function similarly to primary care doctors. Internists are trained to treat and diagnose a wide range of illnesses that affect the entirety of the biological system. When an illness proves to be advancing, exotic or complex, internists will usually refer their patients to specialists.
Required Qualifications
Part-Time NY Licensed Internal Medicine or Family Practice physicians needed for on-site health assessments for the state of New York. Dates: 09/11 - 10/04 (May Extend) , (Flexible Schedule) No call. The provider will complete a Health Physical and Assessment Form to determine if the patient needs to be placed on disability or be placed on Public Assistance. 100% adult patients, all scheduled visits, and will see approximately 15-25 patients per day. Support Staff: Other MD's and midlevel's on site. EMR Charting !
