Internist - Physician - (Internal Medicine) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour! /Day
Board Eligible / Board Certified - 3 x Internal Medicine physicians needed in a New York Facility for an opportunity starting in February ongoing. This opportunity offers a Mon-Fri schedule 8 hour days. The provider must be well-versed in Primary Care Outpatient setting, also comfortable supervising 3-6 medical residents per half day session.
Internal medicine (locum tenens) is a branch of medicine characterized by an emphasis on treating the whole body, rather than specialized focus on one body part of system. Many people use internists as their first point of medical contact, and in this way these physicians function similarly to primary care doctors. Internists are trained to treat and diagnose a wide range of illnesses that affect the entirety of the biological system. When an illness proves to be advancing, exotic or complex, internists will usually refer their patients to specialists.
Required Qualifications
3 x Internal Medicine ph! ysicians needed - 02/11/2013 - 3 months (2-3 DAYS TO CREDENTIA! L) - Mon-Fri: 8:30a - 4:30p - BC, DEA - 15-20ppd, 100% Scheduled, and Adult patients seen. Typical Cases: Sick & Well Visits, and Follow up visits. Additional duties: Supervise 3-6 medical residents per half day session (15-20 patients are scheduled per resident), Review treatment plans with resident, Review and countersign residents notes, assist in facilitating diagnostic and specialty referrals.
